It’s not lightly that a man chooses his own brother
From The Bonecaster’s Coin
by Sarah Zama
A couple of my beta readers asked me what it is of Ghost Trilogy, since I haven’t worked at it or even mentioned it for such a long time.
I haven’t forgotten about it, this I can tell you. This is a story so close to my heart.
I’ve been trying to find a home for it, but so far, no one has shown any interest. I have indeed considered self publishing the entire trilogy, but honestly, it is an investment of money that I cannot take at the moment.
So the poor thing is waiting on the backburner, I’m afraid. Waiting, but not forgotten!
The Bonecaster’s Coin, the first novel in this historical fantasy trilogy, is heavy on the magic realism vibe. You won’t find apparent fantasy tropes in this trilogy but a very gentle, very life-like sense of wonder.
Susie – When I dance to jazz music, I feel free
Simon – The dreams fueled my desires and I follow them willingly
Michael – I should have known better than to think my will alone would shaped my life
Blood – There are always voices calling and I’ll always listen

I hope your trilogy will see the light of day soon, Sarah!

Ehhh… I haven’t had much luck with this one, so far. But I hope to find a way, somehow. It’s a story very close to my heart.

Perhaps one book at a time? The best of luck in any case!

Oh, I am working at a book at a time, I wouldn’t be able to work to more than one 😉
I just have all these unfinished projects floating around me. I choose one of them to work at and go with that one for a while.
In this moment, for example, I am working at The Frozen Maze and I don’t intend to focus on anythign else until I’m done with that.

Hi Sarah – I’m glad it’s still safely at the forefront of your mind …and yes I hope it (all three) reaches the light of day sometime soon – good luck and take care – cheers Hilary

Thanks, Hilary.
I fully intend to see The Frozen Maze seeing the light of day before this year ends 😉

Sorry, Sarah. What I meant was to publish one book of the trilogy at a time if you were self-publishing.

Oh, I see! Well, I couldn’t do any different. The trilogy is complete in first draft, but only the first novel is in a reading shape.
I’m a very slow writer. One publication at a time is the best I can achieve 😉
