Last summer Lucy Flinch passed me on the 777 Challenge. I know I’ve already done one, but I really enjoyed it, and anyway, I’m working on a new story now and can sure post seven different sentences.
The 777 challenge requires you go to Page 7 of your work-in-progress, scroll down to Line 7 and share the next 7 sentences in a blog post. Once you have done this, you can tag 7 other bloggers to do the same with their work-in-progress.
You know what? My seven sentences starts at the beginning of a section in a chapter. No really.
That’s a hard section to write, and I can’t say I’m happy with this first draft, but I’ll post it anyway. This is the only section in the story where my three main characters all interacts and the reason why it’s so challenging is that I want it to be still Susie’s section but I also don’t want to miss the opportunity to give some insight into Blood and Michael, who get a lot less exposure in this story.
Well, see what you think
Blood’s friend was waiting for them at their usual table and Susie was glad about it. She would claim with Simon she was just entertaining customers, though she actually did it very rarely at their table and so far, she had only done it on Simon’s request.
Her knees were wobbling as she sat on the chair Blood offered her.
Is this a good idea? Her mind asked. Her heart and stomach thought it was.
As she sat, Blood slapped one hand on his friend’s wide shoulder and said, “Michael Red Willow.”
Susie cocked her head, a small smile on her small mouth, wondering whether that was Michael’s real name too, but she didn’t ask.
Well, and now for my seven nominee. Since this is my NaNoWriMo story, I want to nominate seven fellow Wrimos.

Thanks so much for the tag, Sarah.
I love that there is a character is named Blood.
Sounds like an interesting story.

And thanks for accepting it, Lenni! 🙂
Hey, I see Blood’s name is quite popular. He’s a character I love (well, I love all the characters from my trilogy, but my MCs Blood and Michael have a special place in my heart), I really hope readers will like him too. I was very concerned about him in the very first stages of the project: he’s a very very positive character and I know readers tend to have a problem with this kind of characters. I hope I’ve found a balance.
